About Allison Alexander
I create the conditions where clarity emerges and courageous action becomes possible.
Work With Me
My Foundation
A Lifetime of Following Curiosity
Shaped by Movement
Growing up in a military family, constant movement shaped my understanding of change from an early age. It taught me that circumstances are temporary, identities evolve, and a meaningful life requires the capacity to remain present through transition.
Both Spiritual & Pragmatic
I am intuitive and systems-aware. I trust embodied knowing and symbolic meaning while remaining fluent in research, leadership, and organizational dynamics. That perspective continues to inform how I work today.
Two Decades of Work
A Career at the Intersection of Inner Awareness & Complex Systems
Over the past two decades, my work has spanned philanthropy, nonprofit leadership, entrepreneurship, facilitation, and coaching. Earlier in my career, I founded an international apparel company that was later acquired; offering firsthand insight into growth, transition, and the inner recalibration such moments require.
Today, my work also includes advising on complex community challenges, including regional housing systems and collective impact efforts.
Embodied Practice
Breath, Presence & Deep Listening
Where It Began
My exploration began with Pilates teacher training in 2002 and has continued through years of study in embodied awareness, reflective inquiry, and symbolic frameworks.
Not Techniques — Ways of Listening
These are not methods I apply from the outside. They are ways of listening more carefully to oneself, to others, and to what is emerging in any given moment.
No Formulas
I do not offer prescriptions. Instead, I hold space for clarity to emerge. From that clarity, meaningful change becomes possible.
The Work
Moving Beyond "Shoulds" Toward Alignment
My work supports individuals and leaders in moving beyond inherited expectations, reconnecting with their internal authority, and making decisions from alignment rather than obligation. Much of this process involves honoring the quiet grief that accompanies change: the release of identities, roles, or paths that once made sense
How I Work
Intentionally Spacious. Deeply Personal.
Small Practice
I work with a small number of individuals and organizations each year, primarily through referral and invitation.
Calm Presence
I have a reputation for being a grounded, calm presence in complex and high-stakes moments.
Relational Depth
My engagements are intentionally spacious, relational, and deeply personal — never transactional.
"Working with Allison over the last year has been life-affirming. She's helped me soften my inner critic, reflect on what I really want to invite into my life and, most importantly, given me so much space to just be me… in all my messiness. In this and more ways, she's been an integral part on my journey towards self-love."
Brad P.
Somatic Coach based in Marloix, France
"Allison has the ability to see clearly exactly what is impeding your growth and peace. Her questions get directly to the core of blockages. Within a week of one of our sessions, my life felt completely different in several ways."
Lema S., Author & Meditation Guide based in NYC
"Working with Allison these past 6 months has been transformative. When our time together began, I knew I had a big, beautiful dream of what I wanted to create professionally but I never imagined the ways that big, beautiful dream would impact me personally, deep to my core. Allison knew what I did not: that life was asking me to align with my higher self in order for this dream to come to pass and with her support, I was able to not only commit to doing that but also follow through with it. Allison taught me how to pull myself up - out of misaligned habits, limiting beliefs and old conditioning that no longer served me, that needed to get out of the way for my dreams to come to pass. Allison taught me how to have my own back, something I never fully understood until now. I am so deeply grateful for Allison and incredibly excited that my big, beautiful dream is now a reality."

Rooted in Place
Life in Snowmass, Colorado
I live in Snowmass, Colorado, where time in the mountains helps me stay attuned to my own rhythm. Outside of my work, I can often be found hiking or Nordic skiing with my standard poodle, Zulu, or enjoying the treasured moments when my teenage daughter agrees to a road trip or a shared afternoon of crafting.

My practice is small by design — relational, intentional, and grounded in trust. If you feel a resonance with this work, I'd be honored to connect. Engagements are offered primarily through referral and invitation.
